Go to C:/PROGRAM FILES/ADOBE/PREMIERE ELEMENTS 8.0 and look at the dlls.
If some of them (e.g., Display.dll) are dated as of 2010, you have the update.
I looked and display.dll has a date of 3/28/2010
however most of the other .dll files have a date of 9/8/2009
Are all dll file supoosed to have a 2010 date or only certain ones?
As I said above, you have the patch.
Before Steve Grisetti comment about the correlation of changes in some of those dll dates and being able to tell if you had the 8.0.1 Update (Patch) installed, I had no ideas on that.
So, I took a look at the files in the path that he defined.
I definitely do have the Premiere Elements 8.0.1 Update (Patch) installed. I know because I did it. In the Program Files/Adobe/Premiere Elements 8.0, all but three of the files there had 9/8/2009 dates. The three that did not have 2009 dates were:
Date Modified 3/11/2010 10:33 PM
Date Created 3/11/2010 11:15 PM
Date Modified 3/11/2010 10:53 PM
Later today I need to uninstall reinstall Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 to get at a Photoshop Elements 8 issue. I will take a good look at the before and after 8.0.1 for Premiere Elements 8.0.
