Can you give us a link to the site now?
DIV's are the way to go. You can have a background image in them and have other objects over top. We need a link to the current site though, although it sounds like you might be using tables, but that can also be changed. Need some more specifics please.
Steve: I'm not a pro, but when my background image is defined in the PageProperties, anything I put in the Body appears on top of it. I don't do anything extra, it's just there. In the body I sometimes use tables, sometimes not. It really doesn't matter. You can see what I've done at LoriPhotography
sorry i cant give u an address yet im still tryin to work out the bugs on my template. As i said, its been a few years since i have used dreamweaver, and i think that we are using a slightly older version of dreamweaver (6.0) than i am used to. Um, could u explain DIV's a little more for me, u can call me directly if u want 4174592295.
Whats up? i tried using the photo as a background image but it always seems to come up as a cascading image and not an image type that i want. For example, i want to have a traditional grey background, with my site in the center (with a border of course), then an slightly opaque image taking up a majority of the body. Easy enough said right? I checked out ur website and its pretty creative, i could definately use some pointers.
Find the DW executable file (in the Program Files/Macromedia folder
hierarchy), right click on it, select Version, and tell us which file
version # you see there, please. It will be something like 6.0.xxxx.
