What format is your Web-cam capturing in? Are you doing the Capture from within PrE?
Is that only 20GB free on your HDD? If so, you will definitely want to clear more space, as that is about what PrE needs, just to launch and not to edit anything.

Hi Bill thanks for the reply. It looks like it is capturing in AVI as
this is the format it is being saved and I can't alter this setting. I attempting to do a
ll capturing, editing and rendering from within PrE.
I know the HDD is running out of space and an upgrade will be done next week.

AVI is a file wrapper that may contain many different codecs... thus the 1st question at the end of the troubleshooting link
DV AVI type 2 with 48khz sound is perfect for editing... many other codecs that may be inside that AVI wrapper are NOT perfect for editing
