    Does mask-layers in any way hinder mouseover?

    trønderpi

      I have 3 images in my flash, and are trying to display more of the actual image moused-over. In an earlier attempt I managed to create mouseover-effects with addEventlistener etc.. but now that I have added mask-layers to hide and show different parts of the images (on mouse over) - only the first image you mouseover will work - and after that it is all still. Nothing happens. So I am wondering - since I cannot see anything else I did differently from my first attempt than the mask-layers; could they in any way be blamed for this?

      The actionscripts that works mouse-over-wise, but doesn´t have mask-layers..:

      stop();
      lotusogte.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler1);
      function mouseOverHandler1(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(10);
      }

      prikkekopper.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler2);
      function mouseOverHandler2(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(25);
      }

      rosaflasker.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler3);
      function mouseOverHandler3(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(45);
      }

      The action-script that is right when it comes to showing and hiding(with mask-layers), but mouseover works only on one(any) image:

      stop();
      rosaflasker.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler1);
      function mouseOverHandler1(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(10);
      }

      prikkakopper.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler2);
      function mouseOverHandler2(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(25);
      }

      teoglotus.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouseOverHandler3);
      function mouseOverHandler3(event:MouseEvent):void {
      gotoAndPlay(40);
      }
