Your hosting provider specifies the proper name of your "home" page and the proper folder on the server where your files are to be uploaded.
It appears one or the other has not been done properly.
You should use filezilla to upload your site and
make sure you put your files into the public_html folder,
dreamweaver doesn't always put them in the right place.
But if it worked at the start then
>You should use filezilla to upload your site and
>make sure you put your files into the public_html folder
Not all hosting uses a public_html folder
>dreamweaver doesn't always put them in the right place.
It does if you tell it to. But I agree - use another ftp application to make sure it's not an ftp problem.
The current index.html folder is empty so if it worked previosly, it's not simply a matter of uploading to the wrong place.
Thanks everyone. I'm not sure I'm smart enough to use firezilla, but I'll see if I can
read enough to understand it. Thanks for the helpful info.
It's simple to use,
you just need to put in your site, username and password,
then you can simply drag and drop folders from your
computer in to the correct folders on your site.
Ok, let me show how challenged I am by this. Am I the "client" or the "server"?
You are the client,
the server is where you will be uploading your files,
i know what it is but i've never really thought about it that much
so maybe someone will be able to give you a better definition
Ok, I got it all loaded and I signed in. It downloaded successfully, but still
comes up as a white sheet. Doesn't that mean I have a bug somewhere? How in the heck am I going to find it?
what pages are you uploading to your host?
Everything. Is that what you are asking?
There should be an index.html, patricia.html, melody.html, etc.
Well this page: searinginstituteofhealing.com/melody.html is uploaded at least.
You're absolutely correct that when you try othere pages, you get nothing. But if you can get that page up it seems as though you have the basics.
Your CSS isn't uploaded either.
My suggestion is that you go and look for a tutorial on Dreamweaver site management and that should explain the basic structure of the page and how to upload.
Those suggestions come after a Google. There's plenty out there.
Did you overwrite your index.html page when you uploaded with filezilla
Or did it ask you to?
You also have a few more pages up working
