Ok, so i've been using Dreamweaver for school coursework.
I've been using the 2004 version of Dreamweaver at school but over half term i downloaded the trial of the newest version of Dreamweaver and improved my coursework on there.
I sent my work to school but it won't allow me to open it or edit it. My teacher said today that it was because of the different versions.
So, is there anyway i can convert it into the 2004 version some how? Coursework needs to be in next week so quick help would be appreciated.
Opening HTML will work regardless of Dreamweaver. HTML is an open-format and you can open it in MS Expression Web and other programs as well. Even Word has the ability to open HTML.
What error are you receiving when you open the file?
Can you post a link to the page in question, or the code from it?
The only thing that won't work from CS4->MX2004 would be Spry functionality and possibly some server functions. But at the worst case scenario you should be able to work with them, or edit them in code view, but in design view there would be no interface to edit them.
Yes, thats what i thought but i zipped my work. I'll have to look at the file tomorrow at school. I'll get back to you.
