Calibrated your monitor recently?
Checked the Color Settings?
haven't calibrated the monitors recently.
the document was created as a 'print file' in RGB mode. the color settings were set to defaults
RGB - "preserve embedded profiles'
CMYK - "preserve numbers (ignore linked profiles)
A new saving bulb in the monitor?
What happens if you create the document as a normal RGB file?
i tried that earlier today, i guess we'll have to wait and see if the same thing occurs.
so the strange issue still persists. even in CS5.
its extremely annoying and frustrating, especially since i haven't found another case like it ......
The color settings are not set to defaults as the default for RGB is sRGB. You had to have changed the RGB profile to something like a paper profile
as is the case in this screenshot does the color palette in the screenshot remind you of anything yu have experienced?
I can easily produce the similar results you see.
I have done some more investigating and i am going to change what I wrote and say i think it is another factor and not the profile or your settings but to be certain can you use the camera icon to attach a screen shot of your color settings?
Perhaps a corrupt profile.
