Is there a way to see if a peerID and stream is still active/open

    Amosl

After reading another thread I see that stratus peerId's do not close out, so if someone refreshes their browser while and the flash player reconnects with a new peer id, how can I let the person they were communicating with know that the previous peer id is no longer active? thanks

in most cases when a Flash Player shuts down (example: the page is refreshed or the browser window closes), any peers to which that Flash Player instance was connected should receive NetStream.Connect.Closed events immediately.  sometimes the single "emergency session close" packet may either not get through or not have a chance to be sent before the Flash Player has completely stopped; when that happens the peer must time out the connection, which may take 1-2 minutes.  however, after the timeout you should receive a NetStream.Connect.Closed event.
