I've just bought a mac and am therefore migrating all DW files from the old windows pc and laptop to the mac.
However, I am nervous about deleting the DW files off the pc and laptop just yet because, despite disabling check in/check out on all computers, I am still getting messages re files being checked out when I use the new mac.
One solution may have been to override checkout, or to check in all files on to the new mac, but it crashes when I enable check in and check out.
Can anyone offer a solution?
Not sure about the crashes, but you could grab a ftp client and check all folders of your website on the server for any .lck files still around. If you remove the .lck file, the "checked out" status goes away.
Thankyou!! - I downloaded cyberduck and deleted all the pages end with .lck
Job done - thanks so much!
