      made a site for a friend. it looks just the right size in my pc but her mac has it quite large she says. how do i size it for both? is it simple cause i am not all that brilliant in web design...

      here is the site

      i used css...

      she would also like the site centered...after trolling the forums, nothing seemed to do the trick.

          you can use <center> tags to center the content:

          <body>

          <center>

          <div class="style1" id="apDiv4">text</div>

          <div id="apDiv5">

            <div align="left">

              <p class="style2"><span class="style3"><a href="meadowcroftpainting.html">Artist Gallery</a><br />

                <img src="images/birdintree.jpg" alt="Meadowcroft Bird" name="birdintree" width="75" height="118" align="left" id="birdintree" /></span></p>

              <p class="style4"><a href="meadowcroftpainting.html">Paintings</a></p>

              <p class="style4"><a href="woodsculptures.html">Wood Sculptures</a></p>

              <p class="style4"><a href="meadowcroftkinetic.html">Standing and Kinetic Wood Carvings</a></p>

              <div class="style1" id="apDiv6">A Collection of paintings and wooden sculptures of a fey and whimsical nature that may be viewed, purchased and commissioned.</div>

              <p class="style4"><a href="meadowcroftpurchase.html">Purchase or Commission Works</a></p>

            <p><span class="style4"><a href="meadowcroftabout.html">About the Artist</a></span><br />

                  </p>

            </div>

          </div>

          </center>

          </body>

          And use background-position:center; on your body style to center the background:

          body  {

              color: #333399;

              font-size: medium;

              font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

              font-style: normal;

              font-weight: normal;

              text-decoration: underline;

             background-color: #fff

             background-image: url(images/meadowcroftbkgrd1m.jpg);

              background-repeat:no-repeat;

              background-attachment:fixed;

              background-image: url(images/meadowcroftbkgrdhome.jpg);

              background-color: #FFFFFF;

          background-position:center;

          }
