3 track limit for GTX 285 card

As I understand it, if you use an Nvidia GTX 285 card with CS5 you are limited to 3 video tracks for hardware acceleration under MPE.  Let's say you have a project that uses 5 tracks on the opening  and closing credits, but one to two tracks the rest of the time.  Is MPE hardware acceleration useless for this project, or does it kick in for this project when there are less than 3 tracks, then fall back to software automatically for the opening and closing.

Basically if a portion of your project uses 4 or more video tracks, is that entire project now doomed to use only software MPE?

Effects that are acceleratable are sent to the card for up to three tracks.  The forth or more tracks get processed by the MPE Sw .  So you will see a benefit with more than 3 tracks.

          No.
