I'm having issues with modifying a placed image in illustrator CS4. I noticed with any shape drawn in illustrator you can use the direct selection tool to change the positions of individual anchor points. I'm trying to do the same with a placed image, and I want it to stretch and skew as I do it, masking and shearing dont give me the effect I want.
I thought it would be fairly simple as photoshop has a similar (but excessively fiddly) way of doing it with with the warp tool and was hoping by dragging an anchor point on my image in illustrator it could do the same.
Am I missing something or does anyone have any ideas how to do it?
I forgot to mention that when using the direct selection tool, it wont let me pick up one anchor point at a time, only the whole object!
Applying an envelope distort would match Photoshops way of warping
Thanks so much! once i embedded the image and put it behind it works perfectly!
