For maximum browser compatibility, use two tags:
a.. <object> For Internet Explorer.
b.. <embed> For Firefox etc.
A url will yield something better - but my guess is that you don't have
proper <object> code for IE and/or the file path for the <object> is
AVI to shockwave. OK. How big is the SWF file?

Exactly where should I put the code?
The swf file is 1711 KB.
Here's the code I have in place
AC_SW_RunContent( 'codebase',' http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/director/sw.cab#version=8,5,0,0','width' ,'330','height','244','src','Images/rhss','pluginspage','http://www.macromedia.com/shockwa ve/download/' ); //end AC code
</script><noscript><object classid="clsid:166B1BCA-3F9C-11CF-8075-444553540000" codebase=" http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/director/sw.cab#version=8,5,0,0" width="330" height="244">
<param name="src" value="Images/rhss.swf" />
<embed src="Images/rhss.swf" pluginspage=" http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/" width="330" height="244"></embed>
Thank you Nancy.
I think I figured it out. I never 'put dependent files for the index page'. Once I "put" the index page and its dependent files, it ran for me.
