    What dimensions should I use for flash playback?

    NEWBIE_FOREVER

      I have an AVI file that I converted to a SWF file using a converter by IMTOO software.

      I thought the control bar was black, but I think now its just missing completely.

      I looked at forums, and they suggested making the dimensions larger when I embed it:

      For instance, I have:

         <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="400" height="600" id="fourteen" align="middle">

      But I suppose I could increase "height".

      Another forum poster thought that maybe a "skin file" was missing - but the converter doesn't seem to produce any files other than the SWF.

      So a couple of questions:

      1. How do you know the height and width to use for an video playback?

      2. If controls are missing, is there some "skin file" that is missing?  If so, how do I produce one?

      3. The video full size takes up the entire screen (almost).  Ideally, I'd like it to take up a small area, perhaps 2 inches by 3 inches, but for it to have a "maximize" button so the user can expand it to full screen.  Is there a way to do that too?

      Thanks,
