You could try doing it with a sharedObject.
That could make the information available to flash on potentially any page within your site.

You're welcome. I don't know if you can append querystrings to regular html pages....
If you can (???) then another approach might be viable using swfobject as your embedding method. It has a utility method associated that lets you grab the querystring name/value pairs, which can then be dynamically inserted as flashvars when the flash content is embedded... but it all hinges on whether you can append a query string to a static html page.... that, I dunno...
