I would like to put a Quick Time .mov file on my website. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to do this. As a former GoLive user (OK, go ahead and shudder now), I seem to remember a series of buttons that allowed me to insert a placeholder for a variety of media types, which would then be linked to the native file. In DW CS4, I don't see that option.
Any information on this would be VERY helpful! (By the way, the .mov file was provided to me as such so, unless a reformatting is quick and easy, that isn't an option for me on this one.)
Switch to Code View. Paste the following object and embed code into your web page.
<OBJECT CLASSID="clsid:02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B" WIDTH="320"HEIGHT="180" CODEBASE="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab"> <PARAM name="SRC" VALUE="videofilename.mov"> <PARAM name="AUTOPLAY" VALUE="false"> <PARAM name="CONTROLLER" VALUE="true"> <EMBED SRC="videofilename.mov" WIDTH="320" HEIGHT="180" AUTOPLAY="false" CONTROLLER="true" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/"> </EMBED> </OBJECT>
Change videofilename.mov to the path/filename of your movie.
Adjust width and height values if needed.
