I'm loading one swf into another using the following code:
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("folio.swf");
var loader:Loader = new Loader()
loader.y = 110;
The original swf (folio) has a dark grey background - the stage colour. However within the second file it appears with a white or transparrent background. I've loaded a similar swf into an html page, and it's preserved its background colour.
Am I missing a trick here? Many thanks in advance.
Only one background exists in any swf scenario, so when you load an swf into another swf the background of the main swf wins, and the loaded swf forfeits its. If you want to retain the background, you'll need to create a layer with a rectangle graphic colored as you desire.
Too easy - thanks a million.
