Does your project use Dynamic Link? Do you have the whole Production Premium or Master Collection installed?
No, the project does not use Dynamic Link, which is why I cannot understand why this should come up as an error. I only have Premiere CS4. Have AE 6.5 as well
Premiere Pro CS4 uses dynamic link to connect to both Encore and the Adobe Media Encoder, which is why you can get that error. Did you install AE after Pr? If so:
- Deactivate everything Adobe
- Uninstall everything Adobe
- Run the CS4 Clean Script
- Run the Clean Script again
- Reboot again
- Install AE
- Install Pr CS4
Jeff, I did install AE after CS4 but I think I only did that AFTER reading a post elsewhere that suggested importing the project into AE, which did not work either.
I'll try it anyway, but how do I "Run the CS4 Clean Script" ? I DON'T have Creative Suite, just a standalone version of Premiere.
There's a link in my post at item #3.
The CS4 Clean Script is for any or all CS4 apps. You don't need a suite to use it.
Thanks. I didn't notice the link. I'll try it and let you know what happens.
When you say deactivate everything Adobe does that include Reader and Creative Suite CS4 Web Standard (DW, etc.)??? Do you mean actually uninstall everything?
Downloaded it but when I run it the program says that I don't have Windows Installer CleanUp Utility installed. I couldn't even find a Windows 7 version of it. The one that I did download doesn't install. Help!!!!!!!!!!!
