My desktop PC has several 7200 RPM SATA drives in it. Currently I store all my projects and input files on one drive, while the system is on a different drive, but I heard mention in another thread that in CS5 you can store all temp files to a 3rd drive making it a bit faster.
How do I best configure CS5 to make use of multiple SATA drives, other than storing my projects and input files on a drive separate from the system?
This has been covered so many times.
Spread the asset / resource / export load everywhere except the OS /System drive which should remain exclusive.
It aint rocket science and its logical.
Is there an option to place the conformed files, or all temp files, to a separate drive from the rest of the project?
Conformed file locations are set in the preferences. Temp files are located according to the Windows environment variables. If you want the temp files on another drive, change the Windows environment variables to point to another drive and directory.
