You can create a scrollbar for your Data List that contains only an up and down button. So create the visuals you want for the scrolling buttons, convert them to a Scrollbar, and assign them to be the scroll buttons. If you don't specify the thumb and track, then they will behave as the scroll buttons you're looking for.
I watched some of the videos and they said in one of them that the thumb and the background were mandatory and the buttons were optional. That's why I was asking.
As other spark components, a scroll component has some required skin parts. If I am right, required parts are the thumb and the track in order to allow the scroll to know which is the move range.
Otherwise, why don't yo define it as alpha 0 elements?
In this manner, you could show only the buttons by hiding the other two parts and get the effect you wish...
Although the thumb and track parts of a scrollbar are listed as "required," the scrollbar will actually work fine with only the button parts. It will also work fine with only the thumb/track, and no buttons. So you can choose either/or, or both.
Thanks for your answers.
