As to the different app folders...I agree, it'd be nice if there was a single "Adobe" folder at the top that housed the other applications. And people in hell want ice water.
No biggie, the Adobe apps comprise 90% of what's on my system anyway.
Clearly I've been doing something wrong. I've used Video Collection (we'll just call it "CS1"), CS2, CS3 and CS4 and it never pulled them all into a single folder. Guess I'll have to double check what I'm doing when I install CS5.
All that is to say, yes, that's exactly what I would like. Another round of ice water...it's on me, gentlemen.
That is exactly what I do on all of my Adobe programs. Everything (save for Acrobat Reader, which installs where it wants to, with no input from the user) is in my C:\Adobe folder, with each program in a sub-folder below. Do not know it this ability has been stripped out, as I have both the CS2 Production Studio and Creative Suite Premium, but PS, AI, InDesign, AE, Acrobat Pro, Go-Live, PrPro, Encore, etc.
Sigh. I forgot to mention I'm on Mac. Sorry.
