    making it all center.

      Hi,

      I have a web site that I am almost finished with.  I want everything to center and for my background to be black.  I thought if I put the following css this would fix it.  Yet all my pages are floating left.

      #body{background-color:#000;

      margin: 0 auto;

      width:780px;

      }

      Here is a link to the site.

      Thanks!

          Your code is quite frankly a disaster.

          For starters, you've assigned an ID to body so get rid of the #.

          It doesn't get any better by laying the entire site out in a table, either. That said, if you assign the auto to the left and right margins on the table, it might just center but you might want to wrap it in a div.

          But please, for you own sake, learn to use CSS. Once you begin to grasp it, you'll wonder why you waited so long.
