Let me make one thing a little clearer. I know how to make it completely trasparent
...just change background color to the word "transparent". I'm not looking to do that. I'm looking for something along the lines of opaque=50 I guess. Just don't know where to apply it and how to exactly code it.
You can use CSS-opacity (http://www.w3schools.com/Css/css_image_transparency.asp), however that is not compatible with IE. My suggestion would be to use a semi-transparent png image as the background for your Spry menu.
I read the link and followed the steps and it worked, but only for Mozilla Firefox, not for IE. How do you get it to work for IE too?

Nevermind. Actually, I got it to work for IE too, after I went back and redid everything clearly to erase all my mumble jumble I had made along the way. Now, it works perfectly for Firefox and IE. Thanks!
