a text without context is still a "framework" of wider selection, ie if you click a certain distance of the text, it is the text that is selected. This is a handicap when several neighboring objects and forces us, if we want to select the nearest objects, refer to texts on a separate layer to lock. hence my question: can we restrict the selection to the text itself and not its immediate environment (in the preferences there seems nothing that he allows)
it is a ggogle translation because i'm french
The Bounding Box of Live Type includes the full height of the Em square, so the long answer is no.
Depending on your artwork, and what you wish to do, you may get by the hindrance by switching temporarily View>Hide Bounding Box; remember to switch back View>Show Bounding Box afterwards, to avoid trouble later.
thank you for the reply
I understand that this is not possible.
even if the selection rectangle matched the width and height of the text that would, but this is not the case.
Well this is not practical
You are welcome, ericire.
