Do you have some steps that we can use to reproduce this error? I mean specific action steps that you take which lead to a crash most of the time. If so please post a bug on http://bugs.adobe.com/flex and also add the steps in the bug description.
The problem is the crash is random so I can't reporduce it consistently. But it's happening so frequent that's it's hard to do any meaningful development at all. Will the eclipse crash logs help? Or perhaps I should switch back to eclipse 3.2?
Having the same issues (multiple reinstalls). FB3 crashes every 10 actions or so. No specific actions lead to this crash.
Win-vista home premium. 3GB Ram. Never had these issues (exceptions of course) with FB2.
Hi Ben and Jeff,
When you say crash, do you mean the Eclipse window just goes away? If so, please find your Java JVM crash log. This file should be in the same folder as the EXE file you've launched (flexbuilder.exe or eclipse.exe), and typically has a name starting with "hs_err_pid."
If you can find this file, please log a bug at http://bugs.adobe.com/flex and attach the crash log to it. Add as many details as you can about what types of actions usually seem to precede the crash (e.g. using Design View, ending a debug session, etc.)
I'm getting the same type of crashes. Once I do a few actions, it crashes and eclipse disappears without even an error dialogue. It just disappears.
Please file a bug on this issue at http://bugs.adobe.com/flex. Be as specific as you can about what sort of steps typically cause the crash, and what your FB setup is like (Standalone vs. Plugin, JVM and Eclipse versions, OS, etc.).
Most importantly, please attach your JVM crash log. See my previous post on this thread for where to find this log file.
