    Text over image

    BlackRoo
      Hi,

I am new to dreamweaver, one of my projects is to make a web page so I have made a page but now have problems putting the text in. I would llike to put my text over an image that i have put in to a frame. Can some one help me please?
      Thank you!

Frame? You are using frames? Or did you mean a table? A div? A bread
          basket?

The best way to do this is to put the text IN the image with a graphics
          editor.

But from the tone of your post, I'm guessing you have sliced out a big,
honking image of your layout, and just want to float text over the top of
it, to make your site have content? Resist this urge. It's fraught with
danger and is functionally equivalent to the "Running with scissors" that
          your mom warned you about.

Anyhow, see if this helps -

To put text over an image, place image in the background of your page, table
or division. Don't use frames unless you know exactly what you're doing and
            why.

I've tryed to put text over it but I just can't.
I dont want to put the image in the back ground because it doesn't look good & Dreamweaver tiles it, I just want it to be in the centre of the page as one not tiled.

Not if you tell it not to do so with CSS.
