I have a function as a method parameter, that has a default value of null. When I make my null check either as if (pointer) or if (null != pointer), flash builder thows a 3553 warning on that line of code (possible missing parens for function).
I tried looking around websites but I couldn't find anyone discussing how to do a proper null check so that the builder doesn't throw a warning. What the action script convention for doing function null checks?
hmm, seems to have been a bug or freak occurance with flash builder 4, changing the check from if (pointer) to if (null != pointer) does fix the warning, but it wasn't appearing as such on subsequent builds, the warning only appeared to go away after forcing a project clean.
