What does your code look like?
Can you use a table or container div set to width of 600px?
Here's my code.
Looks like a fragment only.
What does all the code for a typical email look like?
Which email client are you using?
I'm designing an ad for my client, Hilton hotels, to give to the
Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau to "blast" to their subscibers.
I have many restrictions including not being able to use css or div
tags. I've found some references on the Adobe website with a tutorial
on "creating cross-client html emails" which tells me to build nesting
tables, so that's what I'm attempting here. It looks okay, but I can't
figure out how to set up my overall workspace to stay under the 600
pixel limit. I'm used to Photoshop and Illustrator which have clear
document setup parameters--this is a lot different for me and I can't
figure out how to control my "page size". This is (obviously) my first
attempt at this.
The web (and email) is fluid. Always a tough paradigm shift for graphic designers.
Use a 600px wide table with embedded or inline CSS styles.
Okay, I can do that. Thanks for your help, and especially for not
making me feel like a useless dinosaur. Makes me sympathize with those
old "drafting table" designers who I nipped at the heels of. What goes
Have a great evening
thank you, i'll check this out.
