You can move the grid planes while keeping objects in perspective, but if you move the vanishing points or horizon line, everything will be expanded.
The best approach if you want the flexibility of changing the grid later on is to create individual elements in regular flat views and drag copies of them onto the grid.
yeah, I knew I could move the plane, but that really doesn't offer me the flexibility.
I could probably also just use the 3D rotate too. I was just hoping this feature was implemented.... maybe CS6
I also see we have release WITH perspective, but there really should be release without as well... non-destructive.
Hold down the shift key while adjusting the Perspective Grid with the Perspective Grid Tool. Objects will stay attached to the plane they are on as you adjust the grid. Is that what you are after?
If that doesn't' work....
Adjust the grid with the Perspective Grid Tool. Then select objects with the Perspective Selection tool and press 1, 2, or 3 to cause them to snap to the new grid placement. Unfortunately you can't shift-click to move several objects on the grid at the same time with the Perspective Selection Tool.
