AdvancedDataGrid not adhering to constraints

w.johnson

I'm posting this again with a simple example in hopes that an Adobe engineer will respond.

Why isn't the width (columns) constrained the way the height is?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
width="800" height="600">
<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
private function dp():Array {
var d:Array = new Array(100);

for (var i:int = 0; i < d.length; i++) {
var row:Array = new Array(60);
for (var j:int = 0; j < 60; j++) {
row[j] = i + j;
}
d[i] = row;
}

return d;
}
]]>
</fx:Script>

<mx:AdvancedDataGrid top="30" left="30" bottom="30" right="30"
dataProvider="{dp()}"
horizontalScrollPolicy="on"
verticalScrollPolicy="on"/>

</s:WindowedApplication>

Thanks for any insight you can provide.
