    Property inside an ActionScript class

    kiran7881 Level 1

      Hi

      Please let me know whether :

      Is it mantadatory that every property inside an Action class should start with an _property name(underscore)

      When I have done with using _property name (underscore) . This worked fine and
      when i tried with out _(underscore) .it is showing an Red cross Mark indicating function names are doesn't have a match

      Thanks

          Hi,

          Usuallly using get-set properties, the private backing variable uses an underscore as convention. It's not required but if you name that property the same as the public get set, then you need the underscore.

          IE

          private var _myProp:Object;

          public function get myProp():Object

          {

              return null;

          }

          public function set myProp(value:Object):void

          {

          }
