Please make Free Transform remember previous settings

I have just upgraded from CS3 to CS5, and a long-standing annoyance is still bothering me, although for some reason I had thought it would be fixed in this release.

Unlike Illustrator, every time I go to transform something in Photoshop (using Free Transform, or Command-T) the link to constrain aspect ratio is broken and I have to manually relink my width and height. It never remembers how I used the tool before.

I would love it if there was some way to set the default behaviour for this tool (as well as choosing to show pixels instead of percentage, if that was possible).

If anyone knows any kind of workaround at all for this, I'd be very grateful to know about it. It may seem like a small thing, but when you press Command-T a thousand times a day, and need to click on that icon every time, it's a glaring deficiency in the programme.
