Open the index.html page. Hit File menu > SaveAs > newfilename.html
You now have an exact duplicate of your index page.
Change main content as required.
Rinse, lather and repeat for other site pages.
Alterntaively, you could use your Index.html as a DW Template (DWT file) with editable and non-editable regions. This simplies the task of updating common menus, headers & footers in your site pages later.

that would be a good application for using server-side includes, so you don't need to update or copy your spry bar. When you change an "include" the changes will automatically be reflected in all the files in question.
