    Text Alignment (Spry, CSS) Problem

    Barna.S

      I started to create a site containing 3 spry under each other.

      In the Tab of the Spry collapsible panel there is a table now with two columns.

      In the first column there is an image, in the second one I started to type.

      After I hit return and want to start a new row, the top left alignment of the table do not work.

      I also tried to find something in the CSS of the Collapsible panel with no success.

      Could you let me know where I could find something about it on the internet, what can be the problem?

      Thank you!

          Hi Barna,

          it would be easier for me (and for a helpful assistance) if you could give me a link to your website. Without seeing the page, it's harder (for me) to offer help.

          Hans-G.

            This is the URL:

            http://web.t-online.hu/sipos4/

            it is a draft only, and the previously attached picture was the result of the second try.

            I rarely use Dreamweaver so maybe I just missig some basic thing when I building the site.

            Thank you for the help!

              Hi Barna,

              that's only a first reflection for you: don't you believe all your measures are a little too large:

                  <table width="2500" border="0">
                    <tr>
                      <td width="450"><img src="pics2/chocolatepudding.jpg" width="450" height="85" /></td>
                      <td width="2040" align="left" valign="top"><p>with 70% Brasil cocoa</p>

              ---------------------------deleted-------------------------

                  <table width="2500" border="0">
                    <tr>

              What do you think about 1024 px or 100%?  Your panels are working well, what I can see at my first glance, anyway.

              After I come back from town, let's take again (and if possible with some smaller table width), ok?Hans-G.

                Hi Barna,

                back from town, I've experimented a little bit with your homepage without changing your template too much. I like that game like you did (only a draft). The result I can present here: http://www.goldschmiede-blumberg.de/AdobTest/sispos4/index.html. Ok, I attached two missing images.

                I must admit, the broad panels have their charms, I like them. And now it's up to you to build your own individual viable "Barna project".Good luck, Hans-G.

                  Hi Hans-G,

                  it was suprising you sacrificed your time to build the whole webpage again!

                  Yes, I will think about it again if I will use these broad panels or not. Im not sure about the measures neither, maybe 400px height would be enough for the pictures.

                  I check it only on my computer which has the resolution 1902x1200, so it seems to me quite small already.

                  thanx for the help, and I'll check your codeing.

                  Barna

                    Hi Barna,

                    yesterday in Germany we celebrated a so-called Father's Day. It was such a rainy day, so we stayed at home and I was allowed to spent a little bit of my time on playing with DW and your nice website.My congratulations on your monitor! The mine has 20 ", anyway, and I use a 1280 x 1024 resolution. But it seems my family will please me with a bigger monitor (yeah, Christmas is not far!).

                    Apropos, a good indication about common browsersizes you will find here: http://browsersize.googlelabs.com/. Try it please.

                    Good luck, Salü
                    Hans-G.
