There is a very recent thread on 3rd party plug-ins, and several people have reported on several mfgrs., who have, or are working on them.
The plugins need to be 64 bits otherwise they wont run.
You will have to ask Prodad.
Red Giant will have theirs ready this summer (i hope)
Check the Red Giant site. It says that it is now CS5 ready.
Yes you are right, i was thinking of Magic Bullet looks.
The majority of plugins listed on Red Giant's CS5 compatibility chart are not available yet. (Colorista is one that is working now....)
...hmmm, just wondering that there is no offical commitmend from Adobe which one are tested and running.
FYI: Pixelan has commited to me that Spicemaster PRo 2.5 runs with CS5. Also Boris FX.
Prodad, makers of Mercalli, say that Version 2 should be out in June, and that it will support CS5 via a 64-bit plugin.
I am using the Neatvideo 64-bit noise-reduction plugin without problems.
