What are the steps you are taking? What is your OS? Have you changed any of the HTML settings?
Jim Thanks for your interest.
First, I have a IMAC with Intel processor. System is Snow Leopard (might be issue here) ....
Steps I am taking is:
Have Fireworks png file (single page) I want to put on web site. Before I can do that I have to export it to Fireworks HTML>
I am on the activate file....I call up Export....I drop the menus HTML/images, no slices, etc and hit Export button. Two files as I understand it should be HTML and png file on desktop or in a separate folder (I tried both) When I hit the button, window comes up and says "File not found." That's the issue. Hope you can solve it for me. PS Could by CH3 Fireworks app be corrupted?
Still wondering if anyone out there is having problem exporting png files from Fireworks CS3? I have MAC Intel process using 10.6.3. Snow Leopard.
I'm not using CS3. Have you tried creating a new document and exporting that?
Can you share the PNG file?
Are you trying to export images only, or are you trying to export an HTML page with sliced images?
Jim: Thanks for getting back to me. I am trying to export an HTML page and images. First, you should know I am operating an IMAC with Intel processor using Snow Leopard (10.6.3) In addition to CS3, I have downloaded a trial Fireworks CS5 and still receiving error message "
File Not Found!". In fact, I am receiving this error message also when I link to "Preview in My Brouser", I have tried multiple png pages to accomplish this simple action of exporting Fireworks HTML. I am in an Internet class on Fireworks and the professor desires I upload my class exercises in Fireworks HTML. So far I have managed to convince her I have a problem and sending her the png files for grading. I will be glad to upload one of these pages if you would like. Thanks. David Wilkinson
Please upload one of the problem PNG files and I will have a look. I'm on CS5, however, so my results may vary.
Hmm... David did you try to upload your file? If so, it didn't work.
Also, I'm still clinging to CS3 and would be willing to try an export from your file if you can get it uploaded.
Here a png file I tried to export from Fireworks....Is it Fireworks (tried it on CS5 or my Snow Leopard on IMac Intel?
I have the same exact problem with an added twist.
I am using a MacBook Pro with SSD and Snow Leopard plus CS5 Design Suite.
When I attempt to export HTML and Images, Firefox will not allow me to change the subfolder for images. It lets me click "Browse", and select the folder I want for the images, but when I have slected the folder and click "Choose", it does not accept my selection and reverts back to what seems to be a default folder (images/).
This is extremely aggravting and I am still forced to use the last fully functioning version of FW that I have (CS3).
James: Thanks for your comments...My is deeper than just the export action. I get the same box (file not found} when I try and preview in browser. I have the same problem in CS3 and CS5. Perhaps, there is some action that I am not taking???
