I've built a little video player using OSMF and it works very well, however I need programmatic access to video so I can capture stills out it at random intervals. The capturing part is no problem on my machine, but when deployed to a web server I get a security sandbox violation.
So the short form question is: How can I access checkPolicyFlag variable when using a OSMF to play a video? I see it used in LoaderUtils but that seems to only be used by Image and SWF loaders.
To access properties of the NetStream (like checkPolicyFile), you need to subclass NetLoader and override the createNetStream method. Then, use your NetLoader subclass as a constructor param to the VideoElement.
For an example of a similar NetLoader subclass, see http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/osmf/trunk/apps/samples/framework/ExamplePlayer /org/osmf/examples/traceproxy/TraceNetLoader.as.
