I created a pretty decent looking website and now i want it to come up in google, lycos, search engines. How do i tell dreamweaver how to do this. I know there is a section where you type keywords that would match the words that a user would use. For example if i had the domain cars.com I would want dodge, buick, chevy, and chrsler to eventually lead them to my website. Where in dreamweaver do i enter this information?

The title and the meta description are probably the only ones you need.

            Its not that easy.

Where, or if I should say, your site ranking appears is largely down to
            a combination of elements.

            1) You need to write good semantic code mark-up. Search engines place
more emphasis on information in <h> tags (headers). Naturally these are
important pieces of information which indicate to the reader what the
follwing text is about. Therfore a search spider will read these headers
as being important pieces of information. You should include some
'keyword phrase' in these tags if at all possible.

            2) The single most important element to getting your site ranked highly
incoming links to your page from other directorise/sites/boards etc. The
more the spider finds the more it thinks your site is important and will
            boost your rankings.

            3) I think some spiders still use the keyword meta tag that you can
include in the head section of your page. Don't soley rely on this
though as most spiders are thought to ignore these now because of
            constant abuse by the developer.

Be prepeared for a long wait until your site shows up, if indeed it does
            at all.
