Is there an easy or recommended way to convert a SQL Server
date string (originally input as ODBC date with CF) returned from a
database call into a format AS can read? (For date, please read -
or time or date-time)
I now realise that (anyway for what I am now doing) comparing
dates between AS and SQL Server is probably not a sensible solution
since I don't know what collation the database is set to, although
it will be the same as that used in this swf.
Unless there is something very powerful in Flex to handle
this, I suspect it's easier to mark the data sent to Flex to
indicate which row corresponds to a date that is already known to
What a pity that all software can't agree on a standard
number format to indicate the date and time. But since even MS
Excel and MS SQL Server can't agree (they differ by two days) I
guess this is a pretty forlorn hope.
