We have designed a form using Adobe Livecycle Designer 8.X and submitting the data via a “Submit” button in the form. This data will then be submitted in a XML format to a web server, then Web service [developed in Microsoft .Net 2005] captures the XML data and stores it to a SQL Server database.
Along with form data we would also like to store unique identification like Windows LoginID wrt form into database. So that we reterive information based on that unique identification.
Please let us know how can we get windows users information in Adobe Livecycle Form.
You cannot get that information from within a form. It woudl be a security risk to expose it there. Unless you have the user enter it and you store it in the data you cannot retrive it.
Are you using the form within Workspace? or as a standalone PDF?
If you are using it within workspace, you can retrieve the Windows UserId (with some workarounds)
