A client sent us a file that had red and blue boxes that we have never seen before. We are unable to turn them off or delete them. They dont print so we able to process the job. They appeared on one of our computers but not the others leading us to believe it may be a setting. Does anyone know what these boxes are?
The red box is the bleed area set for the Artboard 1. You can see this by making a new document and setting a bleed in the bottom of the dialog. I'm not sure what the blue box is, possibly a template layer.
Perhaps if we could see the layers panel and the appearance panel both expanded.
Was the art rotated by a transform effect?
Thanks to both of you for your help. The red box does indicate the bleed. It is something we don't normally use since our bleeds are built to the packaging structure dieline and not the Illustrator Artboards.
It turns out the blue box indicated the trimbox and was made visible by an EskoArtwork plugin that we no longer use and had forgotten was installed.
