I've run into the problem of CS5 dialog "Quicktime not installed...". I've searched the fourms, but none of the solutions seem to work. (Remove preferences, install QuickTime 7, etc.....)
I'm running a MAC 17" i7, Snow Leopard, with CS5 Master Collection.
After the initial install of Master Collection, I began to get the Quicktime message.
I reinstalled, Premiere CS5 & AfterEffects CS5 (only)
Then, I reinstalled, all applications for Snow Leopard from the MAC disks.(there wasn't an option for individual applications)
After that everything works like new, no more Quicktime messages.
Hope this helps.
Still odd, but thanks for sharing that little tip. Sounds like OSX configures the relevant components differently when it detects the Adobe stuff in place, but who knows...
