kathleentownzen May 15, 2010 10:01 AM (in response to John Joslin)That's where I thought I looked, Josh...I'll try again. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I wrote you a pm earlier that even the techs at Adobe can't seem to answer....sigh....why don't they give them more training instead of sending them "out into the world" to troubleshoot with a "spec" of training on new features! They should be instructed thoroughly so they could answer all the techie questions for customers. It's a bad business practice! I hope they're listening! I feel sorry for the techs!

5. Re: DUHHHHHH .....sigh...QUESTION
08fotos Jun 5, 2010 12:41 PM (in response to kathleentownzen)To determine which whether 64 bit or 32 bit CS5 extended, I simply open photoshop, and then click on PHOTOSHOP IN UPPER left hand corner, and a drop down menu will appear -- then click on "About photo shop" in this drop down menu .... I see inside the " blue insignia design " that appears Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, and immediately under that you will see version 12 x64. The default setup on Mac OS X is 64 bit I do believe; and, this shows that I am running version 12 64 bit version. I also have CS4 on my desktop; and, it runs in 32 bit, much slower. Hope this helps.

You are in the Windows forum and that doesn't work for us!
It is the 3rd item in the Help menu and About Photoshop opens the PS splash logo which says "Version 12.0 x64" (or x32).
Or you can click further down the help menu on System Info... and get a whole raft of information.

Bill Hunt Jun 5, 2010 4:21 PM (in response to 08fotos)You were almost there. The only thing missing was the "where" in Windows. All the rest was there, so that part was correct.
Thanks,
Hunt
