I don't see such an error with the latest build. In any case, any attribute on the <meta> tag other than "base" will be ignored by the SMIL plugin.
Thanks for the reply.
When you say "latest build" are you referring to the available source for Sprint 10, what's on the trunk, or something else? And are you using the precompiled SMILPlugin SWF or the source?Apologies if I sound terse, just trying to narrow this down.
I added the name attribute primarily to get around the XML parsing error I'm seeing when it's not present. Perhaps I need to attempt to use the raw source, because the version I have (distributed with Sprint 10) is expecting a name attribute and "fails to verify" what appears to be a properly formatted SMIL. What does the SMIL you're using look like?
Actually, just an FYI to all - What's causing this for me is a conflict with an additional plugin that is attempting to use the SMIL as a resource. If I remove this additional plugin, the SMIL is loaded, the SMILPlugin works as expected, and the video is played. I'll report back with any additional findings.
Thanks once again for taking the time to help, Brian.
I was referring to the latest from trunk. But I don't think there have been many SMIL changes since our last drop (FC1, v0.95), so I suspect you could use that release.
The SMIL plugin expects the meta tag to look something like this:
<meta base="rtmp://cp67126.edgefcs.net/ondemand" />
