    Problem opening Acrobat document (I have Acrobat 8 Professional)

      I have Acrobat 8 Professional on Windows XP. I am trying to open an Acrobat file but it doesn't open. Nothing happens: no error messages, or anything else. When I click on properties (which I have to do through the File menu on Windows Explorer, since the right-click list has very few options), the properties box is blank. I've tried to change this but can't. I can't copy or print the document.

       

      The document was sent by someone outside my organization and has been saved into a network drive.


      Has anyone has this problem before? Is there something I can do?
