    <td> </td>

      If I have a row with 3 column but with nothing in the row, basicly just using it as a space breaker.

      To clean my html page should I remove the   that dreamweaver creates and if so how should I do it?

      I have tried removing them but if I remove all 3 I lose the row,

      <tr>
      <td> </td>
      <td> </td>
      <td> </td>
      </tr>

      Any advice please

          Some browsers will not display the td properly if it is empty. Best to
          leave the nbsp there.

            If you're doing "clean", can you use CSS to create your whitespace instead?
            e.g. http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/css/css_td/index.htm

            Got a link to the page?

              I sometimes insert a 1x1 pixel transparent GIF to replace the space-holding
              function of the   character. They're handy, because I can then set a
              width for the GIF and use it to "prop open" the cell.

                Ah, yes I do that too. Forgot to mention it.
