Is it no longer possibe to DoubleClick the Artboard Tool, and in the Artboard Options Preset dropdown select Fit Artboard to Selected Art?

Yes this is still possible - but still an extra couple of steps vs just hitting Command+Option+Shift+S
I can't find a specific preference for this in CS4 - yet I'm still able to Save for Web and get trimmed art (I just reconfirmed).
Interesting & annoying...
It just occurred to me that I could create a custom keyboard shortcut - so I assigned Command+Option+Shift+1 to Object->Artboards->Fit To Selected Art
So now 2 key combos give me the same result.
Can't you simply uncheck the "Crop to artboard" option in the Save For Web dialog?
I forgot to look there.
I'm having the same problem with CS5. I used to put the crop signs, and then when I clicked "Save for web and devices..." I could save exactly the selection I cropped. Now if I am removing the option of "Clip to Artboard" it restricts the image to all the objects I have on my clipboard, and not the specific part that I chose with the trim marks.
What can I do?
Make a new Artboard (hold down the shift key after selecting the artboard tool) and in the resulting save or export dialog make sure Use Artboards is checked and use the Range field to select the artboard you want. You can have many overlapping artboards and save each as a distinct output.
Thank you, it worked!
