    JS: ImportXML localized by URI

      Hello at all,

I have created an JS that imports an XML-File from my local file-system and processes this file with XML-Rules. Everything works fine!

But now i want to do same with an XML-File which is localized on a web-server, so that i have to reference on an URI with the http-protocol.

I know that there is the Socket-object to get acces to Files in the web, but with the socket object i only get the XML-File as String, but i want to import it in InDesign so that the XML-Rules can process it.

Does anyone knows how to import an XML-File, which is adressed by an URI? does there exists an function, analog to the importXML()-function for Files on a local file-system?

      Thanks fpr the help

      regards
