This is one of the hazards of using wmode, I'm afraid. Some people feel
strongly that it should never be used, but I personally feel it has some
uses, even with its inherent disadvantages. There are more things to
consider, in fact. Check out a few thoughts on the subject by Justin

I used a lot of flash over html and made the flash itself html buttons.
http:www.limevacationrentals.com site doesn't place the swf overlap on top of the link html.
Originally it did but I never found the way to make it work so instead I made the whole swf work as the html link.
