Some-what short and sweet.
I use Windows Mail with Vista. I am unable to open PDF files from an email. The following message comes up: "The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an associations for it in the Set Associations control panel." I have Adobe Reader 9.3.2 and I have set the .pdf extension to open with that program as a default. I have read multiple forums and none tell me how to fix my problem.
Usually reinstalling Adobe Reader should fix any file association problems. However, in your post to the other topic you stated that you have already uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times.
Unfortunately I don't know how to manually change file associations for Windows Mail; I hope somebody else here does. If not, then I'm sorry to send you yet to another forum, but try http://http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.pub lic.windows.vista.mail
